There are 2 categories of membership subdivided into 7 sub-categories as follows:-
ACTIVE MEMBERS
(with voting rights)
"Business Member" (RM300 + Yearly Membership Fee - RM200.00). “Business Member” shall be a company or firm registered with the Registrar of Companies, Malaysia with its nature of business related to ecotourism.
“Institution Member” (RM300 + Yearly Membership Fee - RM200.00) shall be an agency, organisation or institution registered in Malaysia, other than a company or firm registered with the Registrar of Companies, Malaysia, involved in the field of ecotourism.
“Professional Member” (RM200 + Yearly Membership Fee - RM100.00) shall be a Malaysian citizen or foreign citizen with academic or professional qualifications or skills relevant to ecotourism, provided that prior approval from the Registrar of Societies, Malaysia or relevant authorities has been obtained for foreign citizens.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
(without voting rights)
“Sponsor Member” (RM5000 + Yearly Membership Fee - RM1,000.00) shall be any organisation registered in Malaysia or any foreign country which has a diplomatic link with Malaysia and having paid the pre-requisite sponsor member entrance fees.
“Affiliate Member” (RM500 + Yearly Membership Fee RM300) shall be a foreign agency, organisation or institution related to tourism registered in any foreign country which has a diplomatic link with Malaysia and having obtained prior approval from the Registrar of Societies, Malaysia or any other relevant authorities.
“Traveller Member” (RM100 + Yearly Membership Fee - RM50.00) shall be any member of public with interests in ecotourism
“Student Member” (RM50 + Yearly Membership Fee - RM50.00) shall be any registered student with any recognized academic institution.
